INSTALLATION OVERVIEW

MUST BE INSTALLED BY A LICENSED HVAC & PLUMBING PROFESSIONAL!

This guide references the ZeroEnergy Unit Installation Manual which is packaged with the unit.

All steps must be completed in order.

1. Plan, Prep, and Setup

Determine location of the ZeroEnergy unit (P. 12- Step 1) and determine

refrigerant line sizes and lengths (P. 4-8)

2. Run Refrigerant Lines

Run the proper line sizes and lengths as calculated from Step 1 from the

condenser to the ZeroEnergy unit (P. 9-11)

Note: Do not have any exposed pipe in contact with solid / ridged material.

3. Connect Refrigerant Lines

Recover the refrigerant from the condenser and make the appropriate

connections (P. 9-11)

Note: To avoid customer discomfort, it is advised to reduce the inside

temperature of the home for a full hour before disconnecting the unit.

4. Charge the System

Charge the system back to the factory specifications of normal superheat and

subcooling (P. 9)

5. Plumb the ZeroEnergy and the Water Heater

Connect the ZeroEnergy unit to the hot water tank (P. 12-13)

Verify Proper Operation

Complete the “Installation Checklist” (P.16)
